Location: Beverly Hills, CA 90212

 

Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 7:30AM-4:30PM, Friday: 7:30AM-2:00PM

 

Description: Harkham Hillel Hebrew Academy is a leading ECE-8th grade Zionist Orthodox Day School seeking a Judaic Studies Teachers/Morah or Rabbi. The school seeks candidates who understand and appreciate the value of positive Judaism, a student-centered learning environment, and a strong centrist orthodox religious zionist background with a desire to integrate into a young, dynamic community. 

 

The role includes teaching a variety of Limmudei Kodesh subjects, including Tanach, Mishna, and Torah Sheb’eal Peh. Our mechanchim and mechanchot give their students strong positive experiences with Judaism and teach them the tools for independent learning. Hillel has grown to be a nationally recognized institution that owes much of its growth to our unique focus on developing the broader school community. Our staff plays an integral role in the presence that we have and the programs we can offer our community. We offer a unique blend that synergizes the comfort and support one can find in a large community while simultaneously providing vast and wide-ranging opportunities to educate and impact students, parents, and community members.  The school offers a warm and caring environment as it seeks to offer its students a program of academic excellence. Requirements and Preferences:

1. Values Limmud HaTorah as a core personal value.

2. Wants to engage in the kehilla beyond the classroom.

3. Engagement in a formal school environment as an educator preferred.

4. Classroom Management experience/training required.

5. Understands 21st-century education and student-centered learning.

6. Exhibits a growth mindset.

7. Exhibits a desire to constantly learn and grow on a professional level.

8. Ability to integrate technology into the classroom.

9. Undergraduate degree preferred.

 

Compensation: $70,000 +, Plus benefits.
