Job Opening: Junior Interior Designer

Location: Los Angeles, CA 90036

Schedule: Full-Time 

Duties: 
1. Communicate and assist with design ideas.
2. Create 3D models/renderings.
3. Collaborate directly with principal designer to drive client’s projects from concept through construction.
4. Review plans and work together with the expeditor.- Attend meetings with the plan checker in person and go over corrections in person.
5. Assist the Senior Designer in vendor correspondence, managing meeting agendas, expediting, sourcing, procurement, scheduling, obtaining quotes and samples, general organization pertaining to projects and timelines, verifying site measurements and conditions, and project management.
6. Create, maintain, and update schedules.
7. Prepare outline and documentation for job site meetings.
8. Source, collect information and pricing, and quote FF&E.
9. Manage red-lined drawing sets with drafting team and senior designer.
10. Coordinate and prepare for Client Presentations including engaging with Clients, Architects, Builders, and design partners.
11. Collaborate with support staff and principal on all design phases and delegate tasks accordingly.

Requirements:
1. Minimum 3 years of professional experience in Interior Design.
2. 2+ years experience in 3D rendering software.
3. Formal education in interior design or architecture is a plus.
4. Advanced skills in AutoCAD, Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, and Microsoft Office, Studio Designer.
5. Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with other team members.
6. Must possess strong oral and written communication skills, be punctual and detail oriented.
7. Able to manage multiple projects and multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment with minimal direction.
8. Must have strong written and verbal communication skills.
9. Able to read plans for approximate square footage and other material quantities. 
10. Working knowledge of the full design process including Concept, Schematic, Design Development, Construction Documentation, Construction Administration, Procurement, and Installation
11. Responsible, organized, self-motivated individuals who work well in a start-up environment.
12. Must have a working vehicle for office & client-related meetings

Compensation: $50,000 - $75,000.
