Job Title: Senior/Staff Accountant
Location: Beverly Hills, CA (In-Office, Full-Time)

Join a dynamic and well-established Real Estate company based in Beverly Hills, CA. The company has been in operation for over 20 years and is fully vertically integrated, with key arms in syndication, property management, and construction. While real estate experience is welcomed, it is not a must. With approximately 25 employees in the corporate office and a national workforce of 120-150, we offer a collaborative, energetic work environment where your input is valued.

Role Overview:
We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior/Staff Accountant to join our growing team. This position reports directly to the Controller and will play an essential role in supporting the finance team and contributing to the continued success of the company. You will work in a fast-paced environment with a fun office culture, where your critical thinking and out-of-the-box approach will be valued. As a key member of the accounting team, you will be expected to provide recommendations for process improvements, streamline operations, and help develop accounting systems for the company’s evolving needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily accounting functions such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger maintenance, credit card reconciliations and balance sheet GL reconciliations.

  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.

  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and regulatory requirements.

  • Collaborate with various teams across the company, providing financial insight to improve decision-making.

  • Provide assistance with month-end and year-end close processes.

  • Prepare and review monthly account reconciliations and ensure timely submission.

  • Work closely with the Controller to ensure the integrity of financial reporting.

  • Assist in the development and implementation of accounting processes and best practices.

  • Contribute to ongoing process improvements and provide recommendations for efficiency.

  • Support audit and tax preparation as necessary.

  • Manage and review transactions in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

  • If applicable, help with Yardi system management and troubleshooting.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (Finance majors will not be considered).

  • 3+ years of accounting experience, with a preference for candidates with experience in real estate or property management, and specific experience with credit card reconciliations and balance sheet GL reconciliations.

  • Strong experience with QuickBooks Online (QBO) is a must.

  • Experience with Yardi is a plus.

  • A solid understanding of accounting principles and practices.

  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to provide actionable recommendations for improvement.

  • Ability to adapt in a fast-changing environment, especially following recent restructuring.

  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.

  • Strong communication skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Experience working in a growing, fast-paced company is a plus.

Compensation: $75,000 - $95,000 DOE
