Job Title: Payroll Manager

Position Purpose:
The Payroll Manager ensures the accurate and timely payment of employee wages and other pay related programs (overtime, bonus, deductions, etc.), managing all payroll systems while adhering to all applicable federal, state and local laws, and regulations (record keeping, tax calculations, reporting requirements, etc.)
Key duties:
Continually assesses, develops and maintains payroll training, policies and procedures to ensure compliance, accuracy in reporting.
Essential Functions:
Payroll Processing via Paycor: Ensures the accurate and timely processing of all employee/facility/affiliated locations payroll, including wages, overtime, bonuses, deductions, etc.
Compliance: Remains up to date, trains others on, and maintains compliance with all federal, state, and local tax laws, regulations, company policies and payroll procedures including garnishments, government reporting requirements, etc.
Record Keeping: Maintains accurate and up-to-date payroll records
Policies Development: Responsible for department policies and processes
System(s) Management: Sources and oversees payroll and timekeeping software and systems (payroll, timeclocks, scheduling, etc.).
Reporting: Generates and distributes payroll reports and analytics as needed
Training: Ensures on-site payroll representatives and facility leaders are trained on policies, systems and accurately tracking employee time records
Troubleshooting: Addresses and resolves all payroll discrepancies and issues with system advisors, third parties and internal customers.
Auditing: Conducts regular audits to ensure payroll is accurate and compliant
Additional Duties:
May oversee staff members when/as company grows (source, hire, train and manage support positions or dotted line facility resources)
Assists with Employee Benefits and insurance plan management
Other related Payroll, Accounting and/or Human Resources duties as assigned
Skills and Qualifications:
Outstanding verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of accounting and payroll laws that govern various states including CA and CO.
Proven success running a payroll department and staying current on regulations
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Payroll technologies and software.
Ability to manage budgets and vendors
Compensation: $100,000-$120,000 plus benefits DOE
