Position Summary
We are seeking a strategic and results-oriented Vice President of Business Development to lead national growth initiatives in the legal staffing sector. This executive-level role requires a proven ability to generate $5M+ in annual revenue, deep industry expertise, and the capacity to build high-impact partnerships with law firms and corporate legal departments. The VP will shape and execute the company’s business development vision, build a scalable department, and play a key role in the firm’s leadership trajectory—including potential equity participation.
 

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a national business development strategy aligned with company growth objectives and market trends
  • Build and lead a scalable Business Development division, with potential for global expansion
  • Leverage existing relationships and develop new partnerships with law firms and corporate legal departments
  • Collaborate with recruiting, operations, and executive teams to ensure seamless service delivery and client satisfaction
  • Lead client meetings, presentations, negotiations, and represent the firm at industry events and conferences
  • Oversee CRM systems, track KPIs, and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified opportunities
  • Monitor legal industry trends and staffing demands to refine go-to-market strategies and competitive positioning
 

Required Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of business development or sales leadership in legal staffing, legal services, or professional services
  • Demonstrated success in generating $5M+ in annual revenue, ideally in the temporary/contract legal talent market
  • Deep understanding of legal staffing models, including document review, secondee placements, and managed services
  • Proven ability to lead remote teams and operate independently in a virtual environment
  • U.S.-based and authorized to work in the United States
 
Preferred Qualifications
  • Existing book of business or strong national network in law firms or corporate legal departments
  • Experience scaling business development functions or launching new markets
  • Familiarity with legal tech platforms and staffing automation tools
