Job Title: Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner  

Location: Petersburg, IN 47567

Schedule: Full-time (5 days per week) within Monday – Friday with no nights or weekends

Position Summary: This role offers clinical autonomy, flexible scheduling, and strong organizational support in post-acute and long-term care settings (SNF/LTC/ALF/IRF). The PMHNP will focus on delivering high-quality behavioral health care to older adults without the administrative responsibility of private practice.

Role Overview

• Enjoy stability, support, and flexibility with onsite patient care and remote documentation
• Conduct psychiatric evaluations, diagnostic assessments, and mental status examinations
• Diagnose and treat psychiatric, behavioral, and neurocognitive disorders in older adults
• Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications
• Evaluate behavioral and safety concerns
• Provide brief interventions and behavioral management
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams across care settings
• Coverage area includes: Vincennes, Washington, Petersburg, Jasper, and Princeton, Indiana

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Indiana state license as a PMHNP-C or Psych PA-C
• Active DEA or willingness to obtain
• New grads accepted
• Experience with older adults or post-acute care preferred
