The Principal is a key leadership role responsible for the day-to-day operations of the school’s Judaic and General Studies departments. With 25 direct reports including teachers and administrative staff, the Principal will guide instructional leadership, support teacher development, foster a positive school culture, and ensure strong communication across the school community. This role works in close collaboration with the Headmaster.
Instructional Leadership
Oversee curriculum development and alignment in both Judaic and General Studies
Support differentiated instruction and academic excellence for all learners
Lead teacher observations, evaluations, and professional development initiatives
Ensure strong educational outcomes through data-informed decision making
Staff Supervision & Culture
Lead, mentor, and manage a team of 25 faculty and administrative staff
Cultivate a supportive, mission-driven environment aligned with Chabad values
Facilitate regular staff meetings, coaching sessions, and performance reviews
Student & Family Engagement
Promote a nurturing and inclusive school environment
Serve as a primary liaison for parents, addressing concerns with warmth and professionalism
Oversee student behavior, discipline, and school culture initiatives
Administrative Operations
Partner with administrative staff to ensure efficient scheduling, assessments, and reporting
Coordinate with the Headmaster on strategic planning and school goals
Ensure compliance with relevant educational standards and school policies
Proven experience in school leadership, preferably in a Jewish day school environment
Strong knowledge of both Judaic and General Studies curricula
Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
Ability to lead with integrity, empathy, and clear vision
Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field required; Master’s preferred
